Some Customer Questions about Tree Removal Service Companies

Free Estimate

Some homeowners know little about how tree removal service companies work. Despite the seemingly complicated process that one has to go through for a tree removal service, the actual steps that one undergoes  are quite easy. Here are some frequently asked questions from customers.

Can I Keep My Wood for Firewood?

Tree removal service companies will give all the firewood to you. If you specify that you do not need the firewood, the company will give the wood to their contact who will haul all the wood from your home free of charge. There are companies, however, that will have to chip very large trees to make the job easier. If this occurs, they can save some wood if there is a need to do so.

Can They Remove Trees at Any Time of the Year?

Most tree removal companies work year round. Whether you want your tree to be cut during the growing season of a tree (summer) or during a tree’s dormant stage (November to January), tree service companies will be at your beck and call. Keep in mind, though, that the best time for such a job is when there are no leaves on the tree. When a tree has no leaves, there is better visibility and the work is much easier to complete.

What Does “No Cleanup” Mean?

A “No Cleanup” that is written on the estimate means that the cleanup of the site after tree removal is entirely left to the owner. This usually slashes the entire cost of the job in half since it requires less time, workers, and equipment. However, if you desire to let the tree service company clean the site, you may specifically ask them to do so.

These questions serve to allow the homeowner and tree owner to better understand the entire process of such a service. Knowing the answers to these questions allows them to fully know their duties and responsibilities as a customer and as a tree owner.
